Civic Media and WRJN are proud to present the 2025 Milwaukee Film Fest from April 24th to May 8th! For cinephiles and casual movie-goers alike, the Milwaukee film fest has a little something for everyone. Catch local and international films, comedies, documentaries and everything in between for 15 days in the heart of Milwaukee. So make sure to catch The Don Rosen Show weekdays from 6 to 9am on WRJN as Friday is the last day to win tickets on his show!

The films will be screened at the beautiful Oriental and Downer Theatres with events like panel discussions and filmmaker Q&As nearby. Expect to fill up your calendar with 96 feature-length films, 112 short films and 13 shorts programs.

Films we’re excited to see:

AJ Goes to the Dog Park (2024) dir. Toby Jones – AJ and his two dogs grieve their favorite dog park shutting down before deciding its their job to save it. Equally surreal and funny, audiences will fall in love with this low-budget Midwestern film.

Sally (2025) dir. Cristina Constantini – The opening night film directed by a Milwaukee native, Sally is a romance/drama about the first American woman to go to space and the sacrifice it takes to break boundaries.

The Shrouds (2024) dir. David Cronenberg – In this noir dystopia, an entrepreneur gets more than he bargains for when his clients’ graves are desecrated. Inspired by Cronenberg’s own wife’s death, the king of body horror gets into the guts of grief.

Woolly (2024) dir. Rebekka Nystabakk – An intimate documentary about inheriting a family sheep farm without any experience. This film takes on the struggle of farmers and the barriers that stand before them while keeping familial tradition alive.
