Dick Graceffa does play-by-play for Wisconsin high school sports in the Racine area as well as having a streaming platform to stream local high school sports. Here is a Q&A about Dick and his career!

  1. What made you get into calling high school sports and starting a streaming platform to watch the games? After retiring from high school and college officiating, wanted to stay involved in high school sports.  I was a basketball official  for over twenty years.
  2. What’s the most memorable game you have ever called and what made it so special? That’s a tough question I did so many state title games over my 25 years.  Well i guess i’d have to say the Lutheran/Sheboygan Lutheran state title basketball game when Sam Decker hit a shot at the buzzer at the Kohl Center to defeat our Crusaders.  Or St. Catherine’s running in a two point conversion in 2018 to win their first WIAA state football title.
  3.  How do you prepare for a game to ensure you provide the best play-by-play coverage?
I prep on and off for a week talking to the head coaches and getting most of my in for from wissports.net. They have up to date stats on all the teams for both football and basketball which I cover.
  4. What are your favorite sports team/s and a team you dislike the most?
Probably all NFL teams because of fantasy football.  My dislike would have to be the LA Dodgers for trying to buy a World Series title every year with no cap.
  5. What are some of your Hobbies outside of work? Well I play a lot of golf in the spring in summer.
