Butternut Tops Bayfield

The Butternut girls hosted Bayfield on Thursday as they continue to improve a little each night.  This one was a good team effort, building a 33-19 lead at half, then running away in the second half 69-31.  Caitlynn BeBeau once again controlled the tempo.  Gianna Nahring had a big night, along with Brooklynn Treml and Natalee Lueloff. The three combined to dominate in the paint.  The bench played well, once again with good contributions.

Nahring finished with 26 points and 10 rebounds.  Treml 14 points, 9 rebounds and Lueloff 8 points, 8 rebounds.  Caitlynn BeBeau with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Ellie Kolar with 6 and Meliah Hamann 5 off the bench.  Khloe Radlinger 3 points and 7 rebounds off the bench.

Stella Gordon paced the Trollers with 10 points.

Bayfield falls to 3-4 in conference and 4-7 overall.  Butternut improves to 5-1 in conference and 5-4 overall.  

The Midgets will host Mellen for a non-conference game Friday at 6:30 for homecoming.  Monday they host Prentice at 6:30 and Tuesday host a DH vs Drummond to wrap up a 5 game home stretch.
