Riverkings Return To Action. Packers Begin Playoffs And Discover Future Opponents

Riverkings get back to work.

For the first time in almost a month, the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings will get back on the ice as they resume the season after the holiday break.

The Riverkings will play a weekend series over Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10 in Spooner, WI, where they will take on the Northwest Express.

Rapids defeated the Express 5-4 and 3-2 on October 24 and 25, 2025.

Packers, Bears, clash for third time.

For the third time in 35 days, the Green Bay Packers will face the Chicago Bears, but this time in the playoffs as they will meet on Saturday, January 10 at 7:00pm.

Green Bay won the first meeting 28-21 on December 7, while the Bears outlasted the Packers on Dec. 20 for a 22-26 victory in overtime.

The Packers lead the overall series 109-97-6 as the teams have met twice before in the playoffs in 1941 and 2011 with the Bears winning the first meeting 33-14, while the Packers won the most recent meeting 21-14.

Other playoff games this weekend: L.A. Rams vs Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills vs Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles, and L.A. Chargers vs New England Patriots.

The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks both received a bye as the top seeds.

Packers opponents decided for the 2026-2027 season.

Although the 2025-2026 season is still going on, the opponents for the Green Bay Packers are known for next season.

Green Bay will host nine home games and eight road games.

Home opponents: Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers.

Away opponents: Vikings, Bears, Lions, New York Jets, New England Patriots, L.A. Rams, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
