West Allis Central High School Receives $2M+ Court Upgrade from Bucks Player’s Foundation
WEST ALLIS, Wis. (WAUK) – One of the Bucks is making another impact off the court. The Pat Connaughton Foundation (PCF) and West Allis Central High School have announced the donation of a refurbished basketball court as part of the renovation of the school’s Ed Stech Fieldhouse. The project aims to allow for more athletic opportunities and to bring the community together.
“This court will provide opportunities that benefit not only our students but the entire community,” said Dr. Tarrynce Robinson, Superintendent of the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. The fieldhouse, which hosts concerts, tournaments, and events, has been a hub for athletics since 1973, though its original basketball floor faced early issues due to faulty finishing.
The foundation has contributed over $2 million to court projects nationwide. “Being part of this fieldhouse’s next chapter is an honor,” said Joe Stanton, PCF Development Manager.
The Ed Stech Fieldhouse, named for a longtime wrestling coach, has hosted Olympians and state tournaments. Last year, the building hosted a rally with Vice President Kamala Harris.
