The 83rd Assembly District includes parts of Waukesha County, including New Berlin, part of Muskego, and the Village of Waukesha, in southeastern Wisconsin.
Jimmie Kaska, Civic Media StaffWISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican Dave Maxey has been called the winner of the race for the 83rd Assembly District in Wisconsin.
The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.
The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered very likely Republican with a projected margin of 19 points.
Maxey, who was first elected to the Assembly in 2022, serves on five committees or task forces. He is a former New Berlin school board member and is currently the president of the New Berlin City Council.
Maxey defeated Democratic challenger Jill Schindler.
