LA CROSSE, Wis. (WLCX) – The second of four informational forums for Democratic Congressional candidates in Wisconsin’s 3rd District will be held Wednesday evening at UW-La Crosse.
The event, featuring candidates Rebecca Cooke, Katrina Shankland and Eric Wilson, begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Student Union Theater.
Last week, the first of the four forums was held at UW-Stevens Point.
Candidates were asked about their stances on over a dozen issues, from health care to education.
Many of the questions also dealt with various economic factors, such as the cost of housing, health care, child care, and inflation.
The events are put on by the Democratic Party of the state’s 3rd Congressional District. Two more forums are planned, one at UW-Platteville and another at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire.
All of the forums will be aired live on 1490 The Eagle in La Crosse, 93.5 The Tap in Eau Claire, 1320 WFHR in Wisconsin Rapids, and News from the Center WRCE in Richland Center.
You can also hear the forums on the Civic Media app, which you can download for free.
Anyone living in Buffalo, Jackson, La Crosse, Monroe and Trempealeau counties can send in questions to be asked.
The forum is open to the public.
